Interior Architects and Interior Designers Alison Antrobus and Ruby Ramirez are the founding principals behind Antrobus+Ramirez. The Miami–based, International design firm specializes in Luxury Residential, Multi-Residential Towers, Hotels, Restaurants and Product Design. The studio’s highly personal approach to design is crafting sleek yet inviting spaces via what they dub “Design Intelligence”.
Antrobus and Ramirez are alums of YOO’s in-house Design Studio (Miami and London). There, the young designers worked alongside renowned talents Philippe Starck, Marcel Wanders, Kelly Hoppen, Jade Jagger on a variety marquee projects in: Miami, Mexico, Argentina, Istanbul, Moscow, India, Thailand and Vienna.
In 2019, the firm introduced a new product division, A+R Lab. Their first product exploration is a unique, handmade, artisanal compilation of rugs. The collection’s aesthetic reflects artistic individuality from each of their respective Caribbean and South East Asian legacies. As artists, their approach was seeing “floor coverings” in unconventional ways. Theirs is a lens of “architecture for the floor” whilst defining spaces outside of long-established rectangles.
